A fair Elf-maiden of Lorien who, with her lover Amroth forsook Middle-earth for the Undying Lands.
Determined to take ship over Sea to safety with her, she never came to him despite his waiting for her at the Havens. He took ship and was lost at sea while Nimrodel was said to have perished crossing the White Mountains.
